Northern Beaches Hospital provides world-class, Level 5 delineation services for both public and private patients. The hospital features 486 beds, 50 bed Emergency Department, 20 bed general and cardiothoracic ICU, 14 fully equipped theatres, including hybrid theatres, 2 cardiac catheter labs, 4 procedural rooms and a state of the art education and interactive SIM Centre.

What you'll be doing
The primary role of the Unaccredited Trainee – Obstetrics and Gynaecology is to provide quality obstetric and gynaecological care to women in the labour ward, antenatal clinics and relevant patients presenting to the emergency department at The Northern Beaches Hospital.
The Trainee will, under an appropriate level of supervision by senior staff as approved by the RANZCOG, evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to female patients of all ages presenting in any condition or stage of pregnancy or the puerperium; and female patients presenting with illnesses, injuries and disorders of the gynaecological or genitourinary system.
THIS POSITION IS BASED AT THE NORTHERN BEACHES HOSPITAL, FRENCHS FOREST, NSW
- Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, including providing leadership and direction to ensure appropriate management of patients
- Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise
- Demonstrated time management and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and computer skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management
- Evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to self education.
- Previous experience in and willingness to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and training.
