Principal Project Officer, Child & Family Health Unit, Health and Social Policy Branch

  • Temporary role to 21 January 2028
    35 hour working week, in a hybrid working environment

Health and Social Policy works to improve the health and wellbeing of people - now, across their life and for future generations. We develop equity focused policies and programs for the NSW Health system, including where it connects with social care.

Crown Clerk 11/12, salary from $145,378  - $168,130 p.a. (plus Super and annual leave loading).

What you'll be doing
This role will be responsible for:

  • Statewide policy responsibility for child health and development screening and surveillance as part of the My Personal Health Record (Blue Book)
  • Strategic direction for the Digital Baby Book program and its integration into the new Single Digital Patient Record
  • Leading key projects aligned with the NSW Health First 2000 Days Framework.


About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals with: 

  • Demonstrated relevant, professional experience in the area of health and social policy. Relevant tertiary qualifications and management experience would be highly regarded.  
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and developing policy and or service delivery in the area of child and family health. Experience with use of the My Personal Health Record (Blue Book) would be highly regarded
  • Significant experience in developing, analysing and evaluating policy and other projects in a multi-disciplinary or multi-agency environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholders to deliver on complex policy and program/project areas.
