About the Role
The Team Leader of the Adult Community Mental Health Core Team is responsible for the management and co-ordination of an integrated multi-disciplinary recovery oriented, trauma informed, and evidence based mental health team. This includes effective access and discharge procedures, rostering, operational and strategic planning.
The Team Leader will build and maintain integrated care models and partnerships that will lead to improved health outcomes including closely liaising with all other teams within Mental Health to ensure coherent, effective, safe, evidence based, and equitable service delivery.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
- Recognised qualification in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Work or Clinical Psychology and current registration with AHPRA or eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Extensive clinical experience in mental health, and health service management including demonstrated advanced level practice and supervision skills; service planning; implementation; and evaluation.
- Extensive experience in contemporary community mental health and commitment to management and treatment of consumers with significant mental health issues and disabilities in a community setting including experience in application of the Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation.
