About the role
-
Take responsibility for maintaining and developing core financial systems, including managing the chart of accounts, user access, templates, reporting, data migration, and system interfaces. Actively contribute to system upgrades and new implementations, ensuring data integrity and improved system accessibility.

Drive the Budgeting and Forecasting Process
Manage the budgeting system to ensure high data integrity, support the annual budget process with hospital-wide reporting (including FTE tracking), and develop forecasting models incorporating financial and non-financial trends. -
Support Strategic and External Reporting Requirements
Deliver timely and accurate reports for the Ministry of Health, SVHA, and other external stakeholders. Maintain alignment with SVHA reporting systems and support the CFO and executives with ad hoc reporting and benchmarking requests. -
Contribute to Month-End and Financial Governance: Ensure accurate system interfaces and data during month-end processing. Support financial performance reviews and provide reporting insights for executive leaders. Assist in maintaining strong internal controls and participate in financial governance activities.

Enable Capability Through Training and Collaboration: Deliver and support financial management training for non-financial staff across the organisation. Develop and maintain user-friendly training materials and work closely with Business Partners and the Financial Accounting Team to ensure smooth, informed financial operations.
About you

Strong Systems Expertise: Proficient in Oracle, Magiq, and Power BI, with hands-on experience in system upgrades, integration, and automation.

Qualified Finance Professional: Degree-qualified in accounting, commerce or a related field, with CPA/CA membership (or equivalent) and 5+ years’ experience in management accounting or finance business partnering.

Analytical and Insight-Driven: Skilled in financial modelling, dashboard development, and turning complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Effective Communicator and Collaborator: Confident working with a range of stakeholders, including IT teams and executive leaders, with strong communication and negotiation skills.

Health Sector Knowledge: Understanding of public hospital funding, revenue streams, and cost drivers within the healthcare sector is a strong advantage.
