About the Role
This position will be based across Sydney Local Health District primarily at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Concord Repatriation General Hospital and other hospitals within the Sydney Local Health District.
This full-time Research Officer position is an integral member of the research team within the Institute of Academic Surgery (IAS). Under the guidance of the IAS Executive, they will help with data management, planning, implementation and coordination of various research studies conducted within the SLHD Surgical Robotic Program, along with other research requirements of the IAS and the Surgical Outcomes Research Centre (SOuRCe).
The robotics based research studies will be varied and will require the Research Officer to work on multiple projects at a given time across diverse areas. This will include the development and implementation of research protocols, ethics submissions, project and data management including data collection, patient recruitment and follow-up.

Ideal Candidate
Has health related degree or equivalent experience.
Excellent computer skills in email, the internet, Microsoft Office, databases (e.g., RedCAP, Excel, Access, SPSS) and bibliographic databases (e.g., Medline, Pubmed, Embase).
Demonstrated previous research experience in clinical, public health or health services research.
