Remuneration: $32.46 - $36.95 per hour

What you'll be doing
As a Sterilising Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the Operating Theatre is fully prepared for surgical procedures by delivering high-quality reprocessing and equipment management services. You’ll work collaboratively with theatre teams while managing tasks independently in a fast-moving environment.
Reprocess reusable medical equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
Ensure timely supply of consumables and instruments for surgical procedures
Assist in coordinating and managing loan equipment
Prioritise workload and adapt to urgent, changing demands
Contribute to a safe, efficient and technology-driven operating suite

Essential Criteria:
Qualification: Sterilisation certificate III
Selection Criteria:
Attainment of Sterilisation Services Certificate III with previous experience working in Endoscopy or Sterilising department
Sound understanding and knowledge of Infection Control requirements, standards AS/NZS4187 and ISO in a health care setting
Ability to work both independently and within the team, in a busy environment with changing priorities and work demands
Demonstrated communication skills. Ability to follow verbal or written instructions.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel / Word), and ordering consumables with Oracle inventory program
Knowledge and understanding of WH&S legislation and manual handling techniques to maintain safety of self and others within the workplace.
Physically capable of performing all duties, which includes handling chemicals, biological hazards, standing for long periods, lifting, pushing and pulling loads.
