About the Opportunity
Fairfield Hospital is seeking a Sterilisation Technician to join our Perioperative Services team.

In this vital role, you will ensure the safe and efficient processing of reusable medical devices, contributing directly to high-quality patient outcomes. Working in accordance with AS5369-2023 standards, you will be responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, packaging, sterilising, and distributing surgical instruments and equipment with precision and care.

What You'll be Doing
The purpose of Grade 2 Sterilisation Technician is to provide quality customer service by undertaking the operational activities performed by the Sterilising Services Department, for the process of reusable medical devices in accordance with Standards AS5369-2023, previously AS/NZS4187-14. This position requires a sound level of experience with the ability to work independently, under general supervision and provides support to Perioperative team.

  1. Certificate II or Ill in Health Service Assistance (Sterilisation Services) or equivalent.
