About the Role

Royal Prince Alfred is the principal teaching hospital of the University of Sydney and offers speciality services from its main campus as well as from Institute of Rheumatology and Orthopaedics, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and Dame Edith Walker Hospitals.  RPAH is one of Australia's leading hospitals, providing an extensive range of diagnostic and treatment services. Its specialities include cardiology, obstetrics and gynaecology, cancer, respiratory medicine, neurology, liver and kidney transplants.

  

To ensure the smooth functioning of the CSSD and ensure patient safety is maintained at all times. To maintain the high standards necessary in all processes involved with sterilisation and storage. Supervision of staff and ensuring compliance with AS5369 2023 and Infection Control Guidelines. To assist with mandatory and competency based training and take a hands on approach with work flows.

Ideal Candidate
  • Certificate III in Sterilisation Technology, with extensive experience in a busy acute multi-disciplinary Sterile Supply Department.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership skills with the ability to problem solve.
  • Knowledge and understanding of AS5369 2023 reprocessing of reusable medical devices in health service organisations.

Candidates must have the ability to work a 7 day rotating roster
