What you'll be doing
The position will provide integral input into ongoing medical governance, service development, and capacity building across the district through leading education and training, and involvement in relevant community of practice meetings and accreditation processes.
The Clinical lead will be required to travel across the LHD, acting in roles of Coordinating, Consulting and/or Administering Practitioner as outlined in the NSW Voluntary Assisted Dying Act 2022.
This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive for Category A positions prior to offer.

Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.
- Unconditional specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia with fellowship of a recognised Australasian Specialist College.
- Completion of the mandatory Voluntary Assisted Dying practitioner training and registered as an authorised Practitioner with the NSW Voluntary Assisted Dying Board, with demonstrated competence in intravenous cannulation.
- Demonstrated high level knowledge of the principles of end-of-life care, clinical ethics, governance, risk management, patient safety and the NSW Voluntary Assisted Dying Act 2022.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and evaluate models of service delivery, coordinate services, allocate resources, and monitor service delivery to ensure that services are delivered in alignment with organisational goals.
- Evidence of being a highly skilled communicator with demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively, liaise, build rapport and negotiate effectively with colleagues, management, patients, students, other health professionals and the public, including provision of education.
- Evidence of being a high-level collaborator, including the ability to network and operate within an interdisciplinary framework and to work with other stakeholders in a variety of settings.
- Current Australian Drivers Licence and willingness to travel in the course of employment which may require overnight stays.
