What you'll be doing
Provide education and training of medical and nursing staff, including junior medical officers and registrars within the department.
Contribute and engage positively with the HOD of Paediatrics HMCN, relevant NUM and nursing staff, and allied health staff to provide high quality and safe clinical services.
Contribute and engage positively in the clinical governance, planning, developing and providing safe, high quality, contemporary, comprehensive services at the primary facility (and other facilities where applicable) for optimal patient outcomes delivering a healthy community through quality care.
This is a Category A position. Recommended applicants will be reviewed for compliance with NSW Health policy directive for Category A positions prior to offer.

Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at https://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.

- Registered with AHPRA as a Specialist General Paediatrician, and Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Physicians.
- Demonstrated clinical practice of a high standard and ability to adapt practice in accordance with contemporary evidence based best practice.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching and continuing professional development.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
- Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
- Current drivers licence.
