Fixed term temporary part time [0.3 FTE for 12 months, commencing April 2025]
Our Specialised Intellectual Disability Health Team (SIDHT) is based at our HNELHD Wallsend Campus and provides a dedicated and innovative multidisciplinary team. As a senior member of the SIDHT, you will provide contemporary comprehensive specialist services for children and young people with an intellectual disability across Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD) and Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD).
You will provide support and training to clinicians in HNELHD and CCLHD across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice and improve quality of care provided to children and young people with an intellectual disability.
Eligibility criteria:
- A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Paediatrics and Child Health Division)
- Recent and comprehensive experience in paediatrics and desirable experience working with intellectual disability patients
- Available to work clinic days – Tuesday and Wednesday
- Can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team
