We are seeking a Neurologist with:
- A primary medical degree registered with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (Neurology). 
- Accredited training and experience in Adult Neurology (including Stroke), with substantive experience in acute reperfusion therapy. 
- Recent and comprehensive experience in cognitive neurology; an interest in neuropsychiatry is highly desirable. 
Your Impact
- Deliver high-quality inpatient neurology and stroke care, including participation in general neurology and acute stroke after-hours on-call rosters. 
- Lead the assessment and management of cognitive and neuropsychiatric disorders. 
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Consultation Liaison Psychiatry, Neuropsychology, and Geriatrics. 
- Contribute to the development and restructuring of cognitive services at John Hunter Hospital. 
- Drive innovation through outcome-based data and best practice principles, fostering a values-driven culture of continuous improvement. 
About Our Department
Our Neurology Department is renowned for its academic and research excellence, particularly in stroke and multiple sclerosis. We offer a range of busy clinical subspecialty units including:
- Stroke 
- Movement Disorders 
- Multiple Sclerosis/Neuroimmunology 
- Vestibular Disorders 
- General Neurology
