Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a dedicated Staff Specialist in Cardiology (Congenital Heart Disease) to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital!
This role will provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Adult Congenital Cardiology and Pulmonary Hypertension, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Cardiology Department and Hospital as required.
The Staff Specialist will provide expertise in cardiac imaging, cardiac catheterisation, pulmonary hypertension, and the medical and interventional management of adult patients with congenital heart disease or pulmonary hypertension.
The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
The successful applicant will be a current registered Medical practitioner, registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with recognised qualifications in Cardiology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award. (Note: this position is currently available. In addition, applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within two months from date of application, may be considered.)
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
