About the Role
This position will be based at any of the Sydney Health Care Interpreter Service offices including St George Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, Canterbury Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Concord Hospital.
In this role, you will provide a high quality professional health care interpreting and/or translation services to facilitate communication between health care providers and patients in certified and/or assessed and approved language/s to support equity and access to health care services for patients/clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds or the Deaf community.

Ideal Candidate
- NAATI Certification when the language is certified by NAATI; or Recognition if certification is not available.
- Demonstrated capacity to interpret in a healthcare setting.
Ability to identify and convey the social and cultural factors affecting health care to ensure high quality performance.
- Ability to identify ethical dilemmas and to deal with them in compliance with AUSIT Code of Ethics.
- Current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable) and willingness to travel.
