The Role

The Administration Services Manager will work as a member of the St George Hospital Finance and Performance team and will be responsible for providing professional line management of administration services across St. George Hospital. They will ensure the delivery of quality and cost effective services while ensuring the achievement of service objectives.

Selection Criteria

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business administration / Finance / Health Science or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
  2. Demonstrated experience in managing staff and ability to train and support front line managers in systems and processes.
  3. Detailed knowledge of contemporary issues in management including financial, human resource and organisational management.
  4. Expert knowledge of the Medical Benefits Schedule and its application, particularly in the area of privately referred non-inpatients.
  5. Demonstrated experience in Administration services and Revenue Planning.
  6. Proven knowledge and experience with clinical applications including PAS, eMR, PBRC, & inpatient and outpatient billing systems with a high level of computer literacy.
  7. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously to achieve agreed outcomes, including adherence to strict time lines.
  8. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management, and other key stakeholders.
