What you'll be doing 
As a Speech Pathologist Level 1/2, you will provide evidence-based assessment and intervention for patients experiencing communication and swallowing disorders. Working across paediatric and adult services, you will deliver high-quality clinical care while contributing to service development, education and quality improvement initiatives.

• Assess, diagnose and provide evidence-based treatment for communication and swallowing disorders across a range of clinical areas

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, using effective clinical handover and communication practices

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, reporting and caseload management in line with departmental standards

• Participate in research, health promotion, student education, supervision and ongoing professional development activities

• Support person-centred care, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives across the service

Essential Criteria

• Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology     

• Registration: Eligible for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia   

Selection Criteria

1. Demonstrated experience in the management of adults with acquired swallowing disorders, and experience in the administration of objective swallowing assessment procedures.

2. Demonstrated experience in the management of adults with acquired communication impairments.

3. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

4. Demonstrated excellent time management and organisational skills.

5. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of Evidence Based Practice, commitment to professional development and experience in quality management or research.

6. Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia
