What you'll be doing

To provide high quality comprehensive speech pathology services to the patients, clients and carers of the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD), in order to promote optimal health outcomes. 

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (2 doses) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

 

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.

Selection Criteria 

  1. Tertiary degree in speech pathology (or equivalent) with eligibility for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
  2. Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, with a high degree of computer literacy.
  3. Demonstrated ability to problem solve and set priorities.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Experience managing adult clients with acquired swallowing and communication disorders in an inpatient and/or outpatient setting.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement.
  7. Current unrestricted drivers licence (P2 minimum) and willingness to travel for work purposes.
