Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and passionate Senior Speech Pathologist who is ready for a new adventure. As the Speech Pathologist, you will be working as part of a dynamic and supportive speech pathology and multidisciplinary allied health team at Griffith Community Health. About the role:
The generalist caseload provides services to paediatric and adult clients in community outpatient settings in Griffith and outreach services to nearby communities.  You will be provided with support and supervision organised in a formal arrangement within the Murrumbidgee Local Health District as well as working as part of a passionate and supportive Speech Pathology network across the district. There are opportunities for clinical shadowing visits with other MLHD sites for support and supervision.  We are looking for a motivated and flexible speech pathologist who demonstrates a commitment to positive outcomes for clients, enjoys working as part of a team and is willing to engage in ongoing professional learning and development.

As the Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering comprehensive speech pathology services
  • Collaborating wihtin a multidisciplinary team to optimise the health care and wellbeing of each client and their loved ones
  • Supporting complex cases with a variety of challenges and considerations to navigate

  • An in-depth understanding and ability to provide speech pathology services in a curious and empathetic way
  • Tertiary Qualifications and a Membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA)
  • High level of professionalism with ability to work independently and as part of a large team
  • Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritise services where necessary
