What you'll be doing
Provide a high quality radiographic and ultrasound service to patients within within the Mid North Coast Local Health District and to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for patients of the service.
About You
You are a highly skilled and accredited Medical Imaging professional with a strong academic foundation, holding an appropriate Bachelor Degree recognised by the Australian Institute of Radiography and registered with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia. You complement this with a formally recognised postgraduate qualification in sonography, demonstrating your commitment to advanced clinical practice.
You maintain all required professional registrations, including a current AHPRA Medical Radiation Practice Board registration, a NSW EPA Radiation Licence, and ASAR accreditation. Your qualifications are matched by recent, hands‑on postgraduate experience across Diagnostic Medical Imaging, with expertise spanning both Radiography and Sonography.
You bring a high level of proficiency in complex ultrasound procedures and confidently perform the full range of Medical Imaging and interventional examinations independently, meeting departmental standards with precision and consistency. Your strong clinical reasoning skills underpin every assessment and procedure, reflecting deep practical expertise and sound judgement.
You understand and apply Work Health and Safety legislation within the Medical Imaging environment, ensuring safe, compliant, and patient‑centred practice. Your communication skills—both written and verbal—are exceptional, enabling you to collaborate effectively with hospital teams, private referrers, patients, and carers. You engage with clarity, empathy, and professionalism, contributing to a positive and efficient clinical environment
