Hunter New England Health is seeking a creative, organised, and proactive Social Media and Events Officer to support the delivery of recruitment marketing activities that promote careers across our District.
This role is perfect for someone who loves social media, connecting with people, and bringing events to life.
A Day in the Life
Coordinate and maintain careers social media pages - Creating and scheduling engaging, accurate, and timely content aligned with government branding and overarching content strategies across Instagram and Facebook.
Coordinate Career Events - Including event logistics such as bookings, registrations, promotional materials, travel arrangements, and providing on-the-day support.
Supporting Recruitment Campaigns - Assisting with content coordination, asset tracking, and general campaign administration.
Capturing Content On-Site - Travelling across the District to hospitals and facilities to film staff and capture authentic, real-time workplace content.
Monitoring and Reporting - Tracking social media performance and event outcomes to identify insights and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Is this role for me?
Willing to travel across the District, including Tamworth, Moree, and Forster and more for occasional content trips.

Additional Information:
This is a temporary part-time contract position until December 2026. The 32 hours per week are preferably worked Monday to Friday, with hours distributed across the week. Flexible working arrangements may be negotiated for the successful applicant. There may be the potential for contract extension or permanency, subject to organisational requirements
An eligibility list will be created for future temporary part time vacancies.
To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
