Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Health Information Management, Health Informatics or a related healthcare field, and/or equivalent.
- Demonstrated high level competency in database management and experience in the development, maintenance, validation and quality control of data.
- Well developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to generate high quality data reports in a variety of formats.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently within minimal supervision, as well as to work effectively as part of a data management team.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain meticulous attention to detail and meet predetermined targets and deadlines, whilst being flexible and able to adapt work practices.
- Capacity to manage and support change and integration with other clinical data functions.
- Demonstrated capacity to assist with the development and implementation of relevant policies, procedures, standards and practices.
- Sound understanding of NSW and Australian healthcare systems, and the organisational culture of health care services and facilities in NSW.
