St George Hospital provides a centralised administrative workforce supporting a variety of medical, surgical and allied health outpatient services and departments. The purpose of this position is to support our staff in providing the best care for our patients. This role will supervise administrative staff and roster management and will oversee eMR scheduling data entry and reports, referral management, PBRC, and billing systems workflows. 

The Administrative Supervisor will provide high-level administrative and clerical support services to enable the Outpatient Services and Department of St George Hospital to achieve its objectives in a timely, reliable and efficient manner.

Selection Critieria

  1. Demonstrated experience in providing a wide range of high-level administrative services in a demanding environment.
  2. Demonstrated ability to write accurate and concise reports, documents and correspondence with strong attention to detail.
  3. High level interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work independently using initiative and judgement to solve problems.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to work as part of a team in providing quality service and quality improvement initiatives.
  6. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers and standard office software packages and the ability to learn new systems as required.
  7. Demonstrated experience in supervising and supporting an effective team with the ability to determine priorities for others, allocate tasks, coach and monitor work performance of staff to achieve work objectives.
