The Service Development Manager is responsible to the General Manager, Corporate Services and provides strong leadership and management of multiple sites and on all matters pertaining to service development of SESLHD Corporate Services. 

The Service Development Manager oversees the operation of service planning, innovation and redesign projects and change management to ensure the delivery of an integrated and effective service.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in health management, project management, change management or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
  2. Demonstrated high level experience in corporate service management in a complex and multi sited organisation at a senior level.
  3. Proven experience in senior leadership and management of a number of complex projects concurrently.
  4. Understanding of the combined hospital services within SESLHD and external relationships including NSW Government Departments.
  5. Excellent negotiation, decision making and influencing skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, through all organisational levels.
  6. Excellent strategic planning and policy development skills, including the ability to evaluate Service Level Agreements and Memoranda of Understandings.
  7. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of risk management, human resource management and work health & safety best practice / statutory responsibilities and understanding of governance issues, best practice and continuous quality improvement / Accreditation.
  8. Current drivers licence with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
