What you'll be doing
As a Senior Speech Pathologist, you will provide advanced assessment and evidence-based intervention for patients with communication and swallowing disorders across adult and paediatric services. You will also play a key leadership role in supporting service delivery and developing the next generation of clinicians.
• Deliver high level speech pathology assessment and treatment across a broad range of clinical settings
• Provide supervision, mentoring and clinical support to staff and students
• Assist with service coordination, recruitment, policy development and student placements
• Participate in research, education and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes and ensure equitable access to services

Essential Criteria
Qualification: Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
Registration: Eligible for practicing membership to Speech Pathology Australia
Selection Criteria
Must hold a Bachelor or post graduate degree in Speech Pathology that provides eligibility for full membership to Speech Pathology Australia with experience at level 2 or higher.
Advanced skills and demonstrated knowledge and competency in the management of swallowing and communication disorders in an acute adult caseload, including instrumental assessment.
Demonstrated high level verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
Ability to work autonomously with minimal direct clinical supervision, displaying excellent time management and organisational skills
Actively practices the principles of Evidence Based Practice and engages in professional development for relevant clinical areas with strong experience in quality management or research.
Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision and training of staff and/or students.
An understanding of service co-ordination, evaluation, planning and development.
Demonstrated commitment to the NSW CORE values. A valid NSW drivers licence.
