Senior Social Worker working within a district wide multi-disciplinary diagnostic and assessment team, located in the Northern Sydney area. This is a temporary, part-time role (3-4 days per week), for a minimum of 4 months, with an extension likely.

Child Development Service located within the Community Health Service Building at St Leonards

What you'll be doing
A rare and exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative multidisciplinary tertiary team, along with other skilled senior clinicians. A diverse role for a senior practitioner experienced in paediatric developmental disability, including counselling, assessment, education, advocacy, service development, and coordination. 

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. A Bachelor or post graduate degree in Social Work and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Evidence of clinical experience, inclusive of experience as a Level 2 Social Worker or equivalent.
  2. Experience and knowledge of social work skills pertaining to Paediatric Developmental Disability, grief and loss, and trauma informed practice.
  3. Demonstrated proficiency to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team. Skillfully prioritise time, manage a demanding workload, and implement effective boundaries.
