- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Two years post graduate medical experience at commencement of post with recent demonstrated surgical experience (minimum of three surgical terms). For current PGY3 or above please apply for our unaccredited trainee position
- Completion or at minimum registration of Early Management of Severe Trauma (EMST) or Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) courses.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgement and expertise.
- Demonstrated effective teamwork, time management and problem solving skills as part of a multidisciplinary clinical care team
- Evidence of continued professional development showing a commitment to a career in surgery
