  1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration.
  2. Must have completed at least two postgraduate years training including a minimum 12-months experience in an Australian Public Hospital or equivalent (not as an Observer).
  3. Evidence of satisfactory completion of at least 2 JMO terms within an acute care setting, or demonstrated equivalent experience, within the last 12 months.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the planning, delivery, and coordination of patient care.
  5. Sufficient clinical experience to undertake the key accountabilities for this role.
  6. Excellent clinical knowledge, skills, and team work, with demonstrated ability to work both independently within a supervised complex clinical environment and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  7. Ability to recognise the acutely unwell patient and to initiate immediate management and institute Advanced Life Support, with a current ALS2 or equivalent qualification.
  8. Advanced organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment. Valid Working with Children Check and cleared National Police Check.

This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015. All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
