- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Completion of at least two postgraduate years
- Demonstrated interest in critical care; ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment, with developing skills in conflict resolution and timely management of patients with life threatening illness
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and peers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and to develop professional attitudes and flexibility in work roles
- Commitment to developing non-technical skills including task management, situation awareness, team working and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated contribution to quality assurance, research and teaching activities
- Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Mission and Values of the Mary Aikenhead Ministries
