Senior Resident Medical Officer

• MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Expected completion of at least two postgraduate years at the time of commencement of employment.
• Demonstrated clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner in the last 2 years in a setting appropriate to the needs of the position.
• This position is subject to an appropriate supervision level which can be supported by the health agency. If the incumbent’s registration conditions include supervision requirements, the level of supervision must be able to be supported by the health agency for this role.
• Valid Working with Children Check, cleared National Police Check.
• To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy, this includes any amendments made from time to time.

1. Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role.
2. Demonstrated recent relevant experience in clinical medicine and ability to work in a complex clinical environment
3. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills in dealings with patients, team members and supervisors
4. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning, teaching, research, quality improvement and clinical leadership in medicine
5. Demonstrated teamwork, time management and problem-solving skills in a clinical setting within a multidisciplinary team
6. Proven ability to apply clinical knowledge and concepts in practical situations in the context of multiple competing priorities
