- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Possess Fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) or equivalent specialist qualification. Applicants should be in their final year (SET 5) of advanced training in General Surgery with the RACS at the time of application and be on track for completion of all training time requirements for the fellowship RACS prior to commencement of the 2025 clinical year
- Completion of the Part II exam for FRACS ( desirable but not essential)
- Possess sufficient skills, knowledge and experience to practice as a safe and competent surgeon
- Excellent time management and, demonstrated ability to priortise tasks and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated sound communication skills( written and verbal) and moderate computer skills
- Demonstrated ability and experience in teaching both undergraduate & postgraduate students
- Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Mission and Values of the Sisters of Charity and St Vincent's Health Australia.
