Senior Public Health Regulatory Officer
Public Health Unit

About the role
The role of the Public Health Unit is to identify, prevent and minimise public health risks to the community: these risks may be infectious, chemical or radiological in nature. They may be caused by other humans, by animals and by the inanimate environment.

This position is responsible for managing the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of key tobacco and e-cigarette compliance programs across Western NSW and Far West NSW Local Health Districts. You will provide expert advice, support, and effectively represent the interests of our districts in relation to tobacco and e-cigarette control to our executive, Ministry of Health networks, government agency departments, business, and public sector bodies.

Innovation and continuous improvement underpins this role, and through your leadership, you’ll be part of shaping the future of rural health. It’s not always easy, but it will always be extremely rewarding.

Challenge yourself. Make an impact. Shape the future. Join Western NSW Local Health District
