Where you'll be working

Population and Community Health (PaCH) is part of South Eastern Sydney Local Health District.
 
PaCH provides community health services that give care to individuals, families and carers, as well as population health services that focus on the whole community or key groups within the community.
 
PaCH's services are provided at the District's hospitals, community-based facilities including child and family health centres, community health centres and specialist clinics. We work with other service providers across South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, including hospitals and mental health services.

The Role
 

The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is ‘exceptional care, healthier lives’. SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it. 

The primary purpose of the role is to plan, implement and evaluate health related projects and campaigns for culturally and linguistically diverse communities across NSW, in collaboration with key internal and external partners. The role also includes the provision of accurate and timely advice to partners to inform strategies, programs and campaigns relevant to culturally and linguistically diverse communities across NSW. Key partners include NSW Ministry of Health, Multicultural Health Services, other government departments, non-government and community organisations.

  1. Tertiary qualifications in health, social sciences, health promotion or relevant field, and/or relevant equivalent work experience in related area.
  2. Demonstrated high level project management skills, with the ability to successfully manage diverse, complex, and competing priorities.
  3. Demonstrated high level understanding of health literacy principles; health inequities and strategies for addressing inequities in CALD communities.
  4. Highly developed written and verbal communication, interpersonal and influencing skills; including experiencing in preparing formal reports and project resources.
  5. High level consultation and facilitation skills, stakeholder engagement and management.
  6. Experience with co-design and coproduction of health related resources, including written and audio visual resources targeting CALD communities.
  7. High level social media skills, website and computer competency including use of Microsoft Products and Adobe programs.
  8. Current drivers’ licence and a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
