Expressions of interest are being sought from NSW Health staff wishing to apply for this up to six (6) month internal opportunity. In order to be eligible to apply for this role, you must be an employee within NSW Health.

This is a secondment opportunity where you are required to have permission from your home agency to be released from your usual duties for the period.

About this role
We are looking for a Senior Project Officer to join the Regional Health Division.

The Regional Health Division is responsible for providing advice to the Minister for Regional Health, Minister for Health and Secretary, NSW Health on matters concerning regional, rural and remote health. The Division provides advocacy for issues across regional health and identifies opportunities to enhance access to health and other social services that support quality health outcomes for people across regional NSW.

Crown Clerk 9/10, salary from $129,464 - $142,665 plus Super and annual leave loading

What you'll be doing
The Senior Project Officer has a pivotal role in delivering the NSW Health Shared Understanding Project. The project aims to build relationships through meaningful engagement, ensuring the planning and delivery of health services is informed, understood, trusted and embraced by the communities it serves. The Shared Understanding Project has been identified as a Future Health Horizon 2 Secretary’s Priority Project.

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health to:

  • Manage the planning and delivery of complex projects and support the achievement of organisational objectives for regional health.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders across NSW Health.
  • Manage strategic projects to successfully deliver all key milestones and outcomes.


About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals with:

  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work in a small dynamic team environment.
