About the Opportunity
As the Senior Project Manager – Procurement, you will lead and manage complex, high‑value procurement and digital projects that directly support the delivery of a secure, integrated and statewide view of patient care. Working within the SDPR Implementation Authority, you will ensure procurements are delivered on time, on budget and to quality standards, while aligning with NSW Government procurement frameworks and organisational strategic objectives.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders across NSW Health, vendors and partner agencies, providing expert procurement and project management advice and leadership. You will have the opportunity to influence outcomes at scale, contribute to system‑wide improvements in healthcare delivery, and mentor other project managers in best practice procurement and governance. This position suits an experienced professional who thrives in complex environments, enjoys shaping strategic outcomes, and is motivated by delivering meaningful, long‑lasting benefits for patients, clinicians and the broader NSW community.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and deliver complex, high‑value procurement and digital projects in line with NSW Government policies and the SDPR program objectives.
- Manage end‑to‑end procurement and project lifecycles, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within scope, budget and quality standards.
- Provide expert procurement and project management advice to senior stakeholders, supporting informed decision‑making.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, health agencies and external vendors to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Identify, manage and mitigate risks, issues and dependencies while driving continuous improvement and best practice across procurement activities.
About You
- You are an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong track record delivering complex procurement and digital projects in large, complex organisations.
- You have in‑depth knowledge of NSW Government procurement policies, frameworks and governance requirements, and can apply them confidently in practice.
- You bring excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- You are highly organised and analytical, with proven strengths in risk management, planning, reporting and delivering results in fast‑paced environments.
- You are a collaborative leader and mentor who values integrity, accountability and continuous improvement while contributing to a positive workplace culture.
You will succeed in this role if you:
- Thrive in dynamic environments where priorities can shift quickly.
- Can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
- Enjoy working collaboratively to achieve ambitious goals.
- Feel comfortable working in a lean team environment where flexibility and versatility are key.
