About the Opportunity
As a Senior Project Manager of our eHealth Critical Infrastructure Refresh Program at eHealth NSW, you will help make a real difference in healthcare delivering key infrastructure that supports our customers state-wide.
This role offers the opportunity to leverage skills and expertise to deliver Government Datacentre (GovDC) Health Infrastructure as a Service (HIaaS) VMware Environment on premises refresh project.
In this role, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of the GovDC HIaaS VMware environment refresh, including integrated planning, scheduling and day to day delivery coordination.
- Oversee hardware procurement and vendor performance, ensuring the solution is delivered on time and meets capacity, resilience and performance requirements for workloads remaining in GovDC.
- Lead the build and deployment of the refreshed on-prem VMware platform, including all supporting infrastructure, integration points and provisioning.
- Develop and execute the migration strategy, prioritising the uplift of critical workloads from end-of-life infrastructure while minimising service disruption.
- Drive testing, validation and formal acceptance, ensuring the platform meets agreed service, security and operational criteria.
- Establish services readiness and lead operational transition for ongoing platform management.
- Lead governance across the project, proactively managing risks, issues, dependencies and alignment with concurrent technology and industry changes.
- Lead stakeholder engagement and change management across NSW Health entities, ensuring effective coordination of impacted customers, clear communication of migration impacts and alignment of business readiness to support a seamless transition.
- Provide clear status reporting to program stakeholders and governance forums, escalation of risks, issues and decisions points.
About You:
- Proven experience delivering complex infrastructure or platform refresh programs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead end to end delivery of large-scale technology migrations, including planning, execution and decommissioning of legacy environments.
- Strong commercial and vendor management capability, with experience overseeing hardware procurement, supplier performance and contract outcomes.
- Deep understanding of infrastructure delivery lifecycle, including design, build, migration, testing, operational readiness and transition to support.
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills, with experience coordinating across multiple customers or business units, managing competing priorities and driving alignment in complex environments.
- Strong governance discipline, with the ability to proactively manage risks, issues and dependencies and navigate complex program and organisational interdependencies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise reporting and confidently engage senior executives and governance forums.
- Outcome focused, with a track record of delivering high-risk or time-critical initiatives in large, complex organisations.
