About the Role

The Mental Health Services across Sydney Local Health District is expanding the allied health workforce to strengthen the multidisciplinary approach to care for mental health consumers.

The Mental Health Service is committed to improving mental health for people and our communities by providing quality mental health services in partnership with consumers, families and service providers by providing quality healthcare, delivery of safe appropriate care, ensuring access to services, supporting our workforce, and working closely with the local community to manage the changing demand for services. 

The physiotherapy workforce is being significantly increased to support a renewed focus on the physical health of mental health consumers.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Physiotherapist to lead the renewed physiotherapy service at the Concord Centre for Mental Health and Professor Marie Bashir Centre and drive high quality and consumer focussed care.

The position provides senior clinical leadership within the SLHD Mental Health Physiotherapy service, including optimisation of patient/client care delivery, service development and review and supporting the mentoring and development of staff through education and supervision of level 1 / 2 staff.
