Occupational Therapy, Severe Burns Unit, RNSH
What you'll be doing
The senior Occupational Therapist- Burns & Plastics will provide clinical expertise and knowledge to provide care and treatment to patients within the RNS Severe Burns Unit. This position will also provide clinical leadership within the RNSH occupational therapy service including optimisation of care delivery and may participate in teaching and supervision. This role may also work within the broader RNSH occupational therapy team to provide clinical assistance and collaboration as needed and participate with the weekend roster on a rotating basis.

- Full registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. Evidence of extensive clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist Level 2.
- Demonstrated Clinical Experience in knowledge in the provision of occupational therapy in Burns & plastics including ability to provide Occupational Therapy assessment, Trauma informed care, Burn wound assessment & treatment, Scar management practices and experience in the prescription of therapeutic modalities including thermoplastic splinting, contact mediums and prescription of pressure care garments.
- Demonstrated proficiency in ability to work autonomously with limited supervision. Have the ability to prioritise work, manage a demanding workload, apply high level reasoning skills and have independent professional judgement.
