Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and passionate Occupational Therapist (Level 3) who is ready for a new adventure. About the role:
Step into a senior clinical leadership position as a Level 3 Occupational Therapist in our Mental Health Recovery Unit. You'll provide expert assessment and therapeutic interventions while guiding junior staff and driving service improvements across Murrumbidgee Local Health District. This role offers the autonomy to make high-level clinical decisions while working collaboratively within a dynamic multidisciplinary team focused on mental health recovery.
Key responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based occupational therapy services to mental health clients, demonstrating advanced clinical reasoning and operating with minimal supervision in your specialty area
Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise client outcomes, facilitate safe discharge planning, and ensure care is delivered within professional and ethical standards
Provide clinical supervision, mentorship and professional development support to Level 1/2 occupational therapists, allied health assistants and students on placement
Drive quality improvement initiatives, service development and research activities while contributing to professional networks and maintaining cultural competence in Aboriginal health outcomes

Remuneration: $116,892.00 - $120,680.00 per annum (+ super +17.5% leave loading where applicable)

About You:
Our ideal candidate will have:
A tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and a current AHPRA registration.
Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skills and experience within the required specialty area, with an emphasis on evidence based practice.
Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures for service improvement, with skills in providing education and training.
Strong time management skills, written and verbal communication, and IT skills including the ability or willingness to use TeleHealth software.
Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, implement and evaluate quality improvement initiatives, research and service development processes.
Demonstrated experience in clinical and team leadership, including experience in staff and student supervision.
Evidence of a Class C Drivers Licence and willingness to travel for work purposes.
