Achieve Something Great
As a Senior Occupational Therapist (Level 3) within the Mental Health Intensive Rehabilitation Unit, you will play a pivotal role in a multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting consumers with complex mental health needs through extended, intensive rehabilitation. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with consumers over time, helping them develop the skills, independence and confidence required for successful community living following discharge. As part of the Statewide Intensive Rehabilitation Network, the unit provides a specialised and supportive environment where evidence‑based practice, collaborative care and continuity of service are core to the model of care. This rewarding position allows you to make a meaningful impact on the recovery journey of consumers who require intensive support.

We’re looking for someone who brings strong experience in delivering mental health occupational therapy rehabilitation interventions, and who can build effective, trusting relationships with consumers who present with complex needs. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and demonstrate the ability to work seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
1. Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by employer, with registration Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency(AHPRA).
2. Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and significant experience in the provision of occupational therapy services in Mental Health.
3. Demonstrated experience participating in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process.
4. Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision, mentoring and development of junior staff and/or students.
5. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
