What You'll be Doing
As a Safeguards Senior Clinician to support the service delivery of the Safeguards model of care in Liverpool and Fairfield. The preferred person will demonstrate confidence with managing high risk complex presentations in young people, provide leadership, mentorship and supervision, to ensure the delivery of strengths based and recovery orientated mental health care and treatment within the Safeguards multidisciplinary outreach team. Able to work from a trauma informed culturally safe lens. Carry a clinical caseload providing intensive therapeutic interventions and care coordination, appropriate to the needs of the consumer.

SWSLHD Community Mental Health Services provide comprehensive, community-based mental health care across South Western Sydney.
These services cater to different age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and older persons, ensuring specialised care throughout various life stages. The multidisciplinary teams offer a range of supports, including mental health assessments, crisis intervention, care coordination, and therapy. They work closely with inpatient services, GPs, and other community organisations to provide holistic care.

- Relevant qualification/registration in one of the disciplines outlined in the position description.
- Demonstrated experience providing advanced evidence based, strengths focused, recovery orientated assessment, treatment and therapy for children and adolescents of the mental health service.
- Demonstrated commitment to the philosophy and practice of consumer’s families and naturalsupports participating within the treatment process, as appropriate and in accordance with theNSW Mental Health Act 2007.
- Demonstrated skills in clinical leadership and clinical supervision within a multi-disciplinary treatment setting.
- Effective interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and personal resilience.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and competence in the use of information technology systems.
- Demonstrated leadership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of local service delivery incorporating the quality improvement process.
- Ability to work independently and in consultation with the multidisciplinary team.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
