Social Worker level 4: $126,524.00 - $129,591.00 per annum
In addition to base salary, all roles attract 12% Superannuation + Salary Packaging

Bowral and Tahmoor Community Health Centres are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Mental Health Professional to provide clinical leadership and advanced practice across the Wingecarribee and Wollondilly Shires. This position works a rotating roster, supporting the Adult Community Mental Health Service, which manages a diverse caseload of approximately 120 consumers with complex mental health and physical health needs. Working across both sites, you will provide high-level assessment, intervention, and care coordination, ensuring safe, timely and recovery‑focused responses for consumers experiencing acute or ongoing mental health symptoms.This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician who thrives on autonomy, collaboration, and service improvement, and who is committed to strengthening continuity of care within a growing and dynamic community setting.

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled clinician with substantial experience in adult community mental health and the capacity to manage complexity with confidence. You will bring advanced assessment and intervention skills, sound clinical judgement, and the ability to deliver expert advice within a multidisciplinary team. You are someone who values partnership—working effectively with families, carers, GPs, NGOs, hospitals, emergency departments and other community services to support consumer recovery.You will be a natural leader who can mentor others, contribute to service development, support staff through clinical supervision, and drive quality improvement initiatives. Strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to evidence‑based, culturally safe practice are essential. This role suits someone who is proactive, adaptable, and dedicated to delivering high standards of community-based mental health care across a broad geographic region.

1. Relevant qualification/ registration in one of the disciplines, as noted in the essential criteria (please refer to the position description)
2. Describe a time you provided a timely clinical response to a consumer experiencing acute mental health symptoms in the community. What assessment and intervention strategies did you use, and how did you collaborate with the consumer, their supports, and other services to maintain community-based care?
3. Provide an example of how you have contributed as a senior clinician within a multidisciplinary team. How did you offer clinical leadership, supervision, or specialist advice, and what impact did this have on consumer outcomes or team practice?
4. Tell us about a quality improvement, research activity, or partnership initiative you have led or played a key role in. What problem were you addressing, what steps did you take, and how did the project improve continuity of care, service delivery, or collaboration across agencies?
5. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
