About the Role
Concord Repatriation General Hospital has a well-earned reputation for excellence in healthcare for over 70 years. Building on its proud heritage of caring for the Veteran community, the hospital now services the local communities of Concord, Strathfield, Burwood and beyond.
The purpose of this position is to provide a broad medical physics service within the Nuclear Medicine Department at Concord Hospital. The position will also be responsible for chairing a radiation safety committee that covers Concord and Canterbury Hospitals and providing a system to maintain all regulatory requirements regarding radiation safety at the two hospitals, including the use of lasers.

Ideal Candidate
- Possess an appropriate master’s degree in medical physics.
- Registration by the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM) as a medical physicist.
- Experience as a Medical Physics Specialist in a clinical environment.
- Possess or eligible to obtain a radiation license with the appropriate conditions as a Medical Physicist
(IA17/S17) and RSO (IA18/S18). - All candidates must have full working rights within Australia
