Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist - Embryologist

1. Bachelor Degree or higher degree in Science/Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent qualification, with subjects relevant to pathology from a recognised tertiary institution.
2. Extensive experience in current assisted reproductive technologies including ICSI, embryo and oocyte vitrification. Embryo biopsy for PGT desirable.
3. Advanced knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems including data provision to the Australian and New Zealand Assisted Reproductive Technology Database.
4. Customer focused approach displaying well-developed interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with customers, patients and clinical and laboratory staff.
5. Proven leadership and management skills and experience including operational management, staff management and resource management.
6. Demonstrated understanding and sound knowledge of RTAC accreditation framework, NHMRC ethical guidelines and applicable statutory regulations.

This is a Category A position.
