About the Opportunity
NSW Ambulance is adopting the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards across the organisation. The Senior Manager National Standards & Quality Improvement provides leadership and expert advice to all levels of staff and services across NSW Ambulance, on the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NHQHS) requirements, processes and quality improvement, ensuring NSW Ambulances’ adoption of and adherence to the Standards.

About You
Are you passionate about Safety and Quality? Do you have experience leading a complex or geographically distributed health service in the adoption and implementation of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards? Are you confident to lead and influence staff across all levels of a health service? If you answered yes then these are the experiences and qualities, we are looking for to lead our National Standards Program.

Question 1: Describe your experience in the implementation and adoption of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards across a complex, geographically distributed health service. Describe the challenges you encountered and the strategies you used to meet these challenges. What was your measure of success?
Question 2: NSW Ambulance has not previously adopted the use of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards. How would you lead and influence a dispersed multidisciplinary workforce? Describe your project management experience, who might your stakeholders be and how would you influence them?

Conditions
- There is no entitlement to Transferred Employees Benefit (TEB) or travel allowance associated with this opportunity.
- No NSW Ambulance accommodation is provided.
- Employees currently undertaking an Extended Care Paramedic or Intensive Care Paramedic consolidation periods are eligible to apply however will need to complete all training and return of service obligations before accepting any relief/acting opportunities.
- Employees currently undertaking a Special Operations Team (SOT) consolidation period are not eligible to apply for positions other than SOT positions. This includes positions offered via merit selection, transfer lists or later transfer mechanism, expressions of interest or secondments.

Salary Range: $147,653 - $175,917 per annum
Location: NSW Ambulance State Operations Centre, Sydney Olympic Park.
