What you'll be doing
The Senior Health Planner is responsible for developing, managing and/or coordinating and evaluating: 
•       Local Health Plans 
•       Health Projects for the Local Health District 
•       Briefings, reports, strategies, business cases and general correspondence as required. 
The position will also provide advice (including relevant technical advice) which is informed by robust evidence from analyses of appropriate data (using routine health data collections and projection tools), as well as critical appraisal of the relevant literature. 
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
  1. Degree in relevant health related field or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and work experience, and demonstrated knowledge of the healthcare system. Current valid Australian Drivers' License.
  2. Demonstrated skills and experience in project management, health service planning and/or strategy development.
  3. Demonstrate high level competencies in preparing reports and complex correspondence within strict timeframes.
