About the role
Youth Mental Health Initiative (YMHI) is a specialist service supporting young people aged 12-25 with complex mental health needs that are too acute for primary care services but do not require acute mental health intervention.
The role of the Senior Health Clinician is to provide flexible, person-centred assessment, treatment and care coordination for young people experiencing significant mental health challenges, including complex trauma, psychosocial difficulties and high levels of distress. Working in partnership with headspace, to deliver collaborative, recovery-oriented care that supports young people and their families.
The successful candidate will enjoy working with young people, building strong therapeutic relationships and supporting positive outcomes. You will thrive in collaborative environments, value culturally safe practice, and are confident working with complexity while tailoring your approach to meet the needs of each individual.
Based in Cowra, Dubbo or Orange, you will be apart of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team committed to improving outcomes for young people across Western NSW. Supported by experienced leadership, regular clinical supervision and professional development opportunities, this position will play a key role in delivering an innovative model of care that addresses a critical gap in youth mental health services.
