Role Title: Senior Governance and Risk Officer (REQ601141)

About this role

As Senior Governance and Risk Officer you will bring your expertise to:

  • facilitate, monitor and report on the Health Professional Councils Authority (HPCA) internal audit program.

  • support and facilitate the implementation, maturity and continual improvement of the HPCAs enterprise risk management framework and processes.

  • develop and maintain policies and procedures relating to internal audit, governance and risk and monitor compliance in accordance with best practice standards.

  • educate, give advice and make recommendations on governance, internal audit, risk management policy development to support informed decision-making and embed an audit and risk culture at all levels of the organisation.

  • prepare high quality written advice in the form of reports, briefs, or discussion papers to address issues and provide recommendations. Maintain accurate records and appropriate filing.

You will also act as a key liaison point for all stakeholders involved in the overall governance framework, incorporating audit and enterprise risk management.


Crown Clerk 9/10, salary from $129,464 - $142,665 plus Super and annual leave loading

About you 

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals with: 

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and supporting audit and risk programs.

  • Strong communication, project management and time management skills.

  • The ability to work in a small dynamic team environment.
