About the role
Western NSW Local Health District is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to manage the delivery of timely, accurate and relevant financial information, statutory financial statements and financial audit compliance services for the District.
Working closely with internal teams, NSW Health, and external auditors, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial advice and driving continuous improvement in financial processes. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the health and wellbeing of rural communities while advancing your career in a dynamic and supportive environment.
You will lead external financial reporting and month-end processes and ensure compliance with AAS and NSW Treasury requirements. Provide technical accounting and advice and policy recommendations while monitoring legislative changes and review financial impacts.
