About the role

  • Partner closely with hospital departments and external stakeholders to understand their needs, deliver financial insights, and offer innovative solutions that drive performance under complex conditions.

  • Deliver expert financial analysis and commercial advice, including the review of business cases, ROI assessments, and month-end reporting, to support critical investment and strategic decisions.

  • Lead performance reporting and management insights, identifying key trends and risks while helping senior leaders execute strategy and achieve operational excellence.

  • Coach internal stakeholders and mentor finance analysts, enhancing financial capability, supporting continuous development, and promoting best practices in financial planning and business intelligence.

  • Stay ahead of healthcare funding reforms and government regulations, ensuring finance practices remain compliant and aligned with broader system priorities

About you

To succeed in this role, you’ll be a commercially astute finance professional who brings a mix of technical expertise, stakeholder influence, and a passion for improving healthcare outcomes. Ideally, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting, business, commerce, or a related field, along with membership in a recognised professional accounting body (CA/CPA), or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in management accounting or finance business partnering in a large, complex organisation—ideally with exposure to Oracle or similar financial systems.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with proven experience collaborating, influencing, and negotiating with a broad range of stakeholders, including senior executives.

  • Strong analytical thinking and financial modelling capabilities, including proficiency with Power BI and a data-driven approach to building dashboards, performance insights, and strategic reports.

  • Sound knowledge of healthcare finance, particularly in public hospital funding models, revenue streams, and cost drivers, with the ability to navigate government policy and funding frameworks.
