About the role

The Senior Analyst supports the Principal Financial Analyst and delivers high-quality financial accounting activities within an Oracle Fusion environment. The role includes preparation of financial statements, review of balance sheet reconciliations, management of fixed assets and WIP, and investigation of unusual P&L and balance sheet balances. You will also contribute to one-off and project-based financial accounting initiatives, playing a key role in ensuring accurate and reliable financial reporting.
Crown Clerk 9/10, starting salary from $129,464 - $142,665 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week, work location- 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards

What you'll be doing
- Working within Oracle Fusion, Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI, and Oracle StatPlan to support financial reporting and analysis
- Supporting financial consolidation processes to ensure accurate and timely outcomes
- Performing detailed financial analysis, identifying issues, and delivering practical, value-driven solutions
- Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register, including desktop revaluations, WIP tracking, stocktakes, and reconciliations
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, including investigating unusual balances and movements
- Performing gatekeeping functions for accounting transaction related to professional and consultancy services across the Ministry to ensure accurate coding, financial integrity and compliance with relevant policies and delegation requirements
- Collaborating flexibly within a small, dynamic team, contributing to shared objectives and priorities
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders across the business
- Communicating financial information clearly and effectively to support informed decision-making
- Contributing to continuous improvement through learning, development, and a proactive, can-do approach
